The Best Blog Post Ever!!! {the proposal}

Hello friends and family!!!

Here is the story that you have all been waiting for! Sorry it has taken so long, but here you go... {it's a good one}

On Thursday, the 19th, I had a fun girls night planned with Mady, my best friend, because I had not seen her in forever, and our schedules have been really hard to plan anything together. But, we made it happen. So, that night, we went shopping and we went out for Thai food at Thai Ruby. While at dinner, she said that we needed to go to the HFAC (the fine arts building on campus) to pick up a cello for our friend Ally who is in the chamber orchestra and currently in China on tour right now.

So, after dinner, we drove up to the building. Mady told me to just stay in the car, and that she would run in and grab it. I thought that was weird, and I told her that I would just come and help her, no big deal. So, I jumped out of the car and we headed into the building. I was talking and talking to Mady, telling her a story, and she kept checking her phone. I asked her if she had the room number and she walked up to a room in the middle of the building that is all glass, and has a curtain on all of the walls that is drawn most of the time. I thought it was super weird that her cello would be stored in this room, because it didn't look very safe, so I started asking her why it would be stored in this room. She didn't answer and told me to just come help.

She walked into the room and I followed behind. I walked into the room, parted the curtain and looked around the room and saw Noah sitting behind a piano. I was SO shocked and was not expecting it at all. {in fact, I was so surprised that I hit Mady on the arm and said that she was such a liar!}

He started playing and singing the song, "Love of My Life" by Jim Brickman. I went over and sat next to him and listened to him sing and play and was just overwhelmed by happiness, and love.

He then got down on one knee and PROPOSED! I of course said yes, and pictures were taken.
(see below)

It was so perfect, and the best part is that I had absolutely no idea. It was so great!

I Love Him!!!

SO happy!

My ring! I love it so much :)

So, the date is set for August 13, 2011 in the Bountiful Temple. I seriously could not be a happier girl right now. Wedding plans are coming along really well too. It is perfect!!!

Love,

It has been SO long...

Hello!

Sorry it has been so so so long since the last post! Here is a little update:

Life is still super super crazy. I am taking Spring classes- which I just hit my midterm mark- so crazy. I have been going since school ended, and there hasn't been any real breaks, besides fun weekends.

Speaking of weekends, last week Noah and I went to a co
ncert of one of my new favorite artists. His name is Ron Pope. He is still pretty grassroots and not very well known, but I really love his music. The concert was held in the heart of Salt Lake at this tiny venue called Kilby Court- at first we thought it was super sketch, because you walked down this alley way/road... so we were a little skeptical, but we found the venue, and it was so fun and indy. It was in this garage, and there were probably about 40 people max there.
SO awesome. So we just chilled and had this amazing intimate concert with an incredible artist! So fun, Noah is the best!!!

This is seriously no zoom- and we were in the back chilling on a riser :)

I have had some great weekends the past month! I'll post more updates, and fun things later, so stay tuned!!!

Love,
Kates
