Welcome to 2011!!! So far, I am in love with this year... it is brand new but, so far it has been great. So, what have I been up to? Here is a little run down.
First off, My dad called me in December, and told me that he had found a chair at work that someone had thrown away and was wondering if I wanted to try and save it... YES!!! I was so excited and when I saw the chair, I knew that it had potential, but boy was it so gross!

This picture doesn't even do it justice... it was
nasty.
So, after brainstorming and getting those creative juices flowing this is what I learned how to do when it comes to refurnishing this chair:
- Reupholster- this is so much fun.
- Use a staple gun.
- Tea dye fabric. {tutorial coming soon!... so easy}
The result.... a beautiful brand new chair!

This picture is taken at night, and my apartment doesn't have the best lighting...
So, what do you think? I think it looks great! It was so simple and only took a few hours from start to finish. I love it. Just think, this poor chair could have so easily been tossed away and forgotten forever!
Thanks Dad! You are the best :)
Secondly, I had the amazing opportunity to take Jessie and Sean Frazer's Wedding pictures! They are so cute and I am so happy that they are married. It was a cold beautiful January afternoon at the Jordan River Temple. The inversion made the sunlight filtered just perfectly, I loved how they turned out.

Lastly, School has started! This is my last Winter semester where I am actually sitting in class! Next year at this time, I will be Miss Startup- student teaching in Health! I cannot really believe it.
I have a good feeling about this 2011 year. It is going to be a great year with good things to come!
